Our Purpose
The purpose of the Bay Area Humanists (BAH) is to promote Humanism: a democratic, naturalistic lifestance with a system of secular values and ethics. We promote activities that educate about humanism, build community and provide opportunities for humanists to act on these values.
BAH is a local chapter of the American Humanist Association (AHA).
Our Values
Compassion: We are sensitive to and embrace the full range of human difference, extending compassion to all no matter their characteristics or circumstances.
Critical thinking: We choose to use the innate power of the mind to think, understand and form fair judgments by a process of logic and reason.
